Made with love

How darling is this illustration from my dear friend Karen?

Pothole gardens

Nashville has a plethora of unfriendly potholes scattered about thanks to a terrible winter. British artist
Pete Dungey plants gardens in the unsightly potholes, "If we planted one of these in every hole," he says, "it would be a like forest in the road."

Furs

I almost bought a vintage rabbit fur over the weekend. I decided against it at the last minute but now I'm re-thinking my decision. Furs are fun.

Unhappy Hipsters

"He tried to focus on the novel, and not how much his bedroom reminded him of a plywood coffin."

"Sober (and in the light of day), she realized that buying the companion sculpture to the photograph had been unwise."

"It occurred to her that in choosing the repurposed airplane ramp as a staircase, she hadn’t considered the child."

"There it hung— a bicycle built for two, an exclamation point to her lonesome heart."

In light of the often ridiculously serious modern interiors that Dwell often showcases, meet a great new blog: unhappy hipsters

Tighten up

I'm growing tired of the winter wonderland that Tennessee has become. I'm ready for Spring and spray tans (no you don't turn orange.) Anywho, these photos made me think twice about tulips and more about black tights.
